Terms of Use & Medical Disclaimer

These terms set the ground rules for using WalkTalkHealth. The central point is simple: this site offers general education and personal commentary, not individualized medical care.

Acceptance and eligibility

WalkTalkHealth is Shedz's personal, non-commercial labor of love—not a business, medical practice, or healthcare provider. It exists to share walks, research notes, and personal observations with a worldwide community.

These Terms govern your use of walktalkhealth.com and its articles, videos, maps, and related features. By accessing or using the site, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

WalkTalkHealth is a general-audience informational service. If you are not old enough to agree to these Terms where you live, use the site only with the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian.

Medical and health disclaimer

WalkTalkHealth provides general educational information. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, prescriptions, or emergency services and is not a substitute for care from a qualified health professional.

Shedz is not a doctor or licensed health professional. He is someone who has spent thousands of hours studying longevity science and sharing what he has learned with friends, family, and the WalkTalkHealth community. That experience does not replace a clinician who knows you and your medical history.

  • The site operator and host are not acting as your doctor, dietitian, pharmacist, therapist, or other healthcare professional.
  • Using the site does not create a doctor-patient, clinician-patient, fiduciary, or other professional-care relationship.
  • Do not delay or disregard professional medical advice because of something presented on this site or in a linked video.
  • Consult a qualified healthcare professional before changing diet, fasting, exercise, supplements, medications, or treatment—especially if you have a health condition, take medication, are pregnant or nursing, or are preparing for a procedure.
  • Supplements, foods, fasting, heat or cold exposure, and exercise can cause adverse effects or interact with health conditions, medications, and one another. “Natural” does not mean safe or appropriate for every person.
  • Individual results vary. Testimonials, personal experiences, study summaries, and references to research do not promise that you will achieve the same result.

If you believe you may have a medical emergency, contact your local emergency service immediately. WalkTalkHealth does not monitor the site for emergency messages.

Editorial information and limitations

WalkTalkHealth combines personal experience and commentary with summaries of health and longevity research. Some companion material is derived from video transcripts and may be organized or drafted with artificial-intelligence assistance before human review.

Health evidence changes, studies can conflict, transcripts can contain errors, and a short summary cannot capture every limitation. Although we aim to use reputable sources and correct material when appropriate, we do not promise that every statement is complete, current, accurate, or suitable for your circumstances. Citations and links are provided for further reading; their inclusion is not an endorsement of every conclusion in the linked source.

Content dates and “last reviewed” information, when shown, refer to the editorial record for that page. They are not a representation that medical consensus or linked third-party material has remained unchanged.

Walking, maps, and trail safety

Trail descriptions, photographs, videos, markers, and maps are illustrative and may be incomplete or out of date. Weather, closures, access rules, fire conditions, tides, wildlife, terrain, water availability, cellular coverage, and other hazards can change without notice.

Do not use WalkTalkHealth as your only navigation or safety resource. Check official local information, obey posted restrictions, carry appropriate navigation and supplies, assess your health and experience, and turn back when conditions are unsafe. You are responsible for deciding whether an activity is appropriate for you.

Third-party content and services

The site links to or displays services and material provided by third parties, including YouTube, OpenStreetMap, research publishers, government resources, and external mapping services. Their availability, accuracy, content, terms, and privacy practices are outside our control. A link, citation, embed, or map marker does not create a partnership or imply endorsement unless we clearly say otherwise.

Your use of a third-party service is governed by that provider's terms and policies. You are responsible for reviewing them before using the service or relying on its content.

Intellectual property and permitted use

Except for third-party material and where otherwise stated, the site's branding, original text, design, graphics, compilations, and other content are owned by or licensed to Shedz and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

We give you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the site for personal, noncommercial, informational purposes. You may share links to public pages and quote brief portions with clear attribution when allowed by law. No other right or license is granted.

Acceptable use

You may not:

  • use the site unlawfully or to harm, threaten, deceive, or violate another person's rights;
  • attempt to bypass authentication or access restricted administrative systems;
  • introduce malicious code, probe vulnerabilities, or interfere with service availability;
  • reproduce, republish, sell, or commercially exploit substantial site content without permission or another lawful basis;
  • use automated methods that unreasonably burden the service, evade technical controls, or disregard applicable crawler instructions; or
  • misrepresent an affiliation with WalkTalkHealth or remove ownership notices.

We may restrict access or take other proportionate action when reasonably necessary to protect the site, its users, or third parties.

Disclaimers, warranties, and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available.” Shedz disclaims implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, and uninterrupted availability. We do not warrant that the site will be error-free, secure, current, or compatible with every device.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Shedz and the people involved in producing the site will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, opportunities, or goodwill, arising from use of or inability to use the site, reliance on its content, outdoor activity, or third-party services.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including any non-waivable consumer right. The limitations apply only to the extent allowed in your jurisdiction.

Site availability and changes

We may correct, update, remove, suspend, or discontinue site content or features at any time. We do not promise to preserve a particular article, route, video, map feature, or external link. We may update these Terms by posting the revised version and changing the date shown above. When law requires additional notice or consent, we will provide it.

General terms, governing law, and contact

If a provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, it will be limited or removed only to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in effect. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms and the policies they expressly reference are the agreement concerning public use of the site.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. This choice does not remove any mandatory consumer protection or other right that the law where you live says cannot be waived.
